With over 15 years of experience in the racing industry, I’ve worked across a wide range of roles in both the Flat and National Hunt (Jump) sectors. From hands-on stable work to behind-the-scenes operations, my journey has given me a deep understanding of the sport and, more importantly, the people who make it run.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to build close, lasting relationships with jockeys, trainers, and stable staff—people I’ve worked alongside and formed lifelong friendships with. These connections have shown me the incredible highs racing can bring, but also the unseen personal struggles that often accompany them.
I know the pressure of early mornings, relentless deadlines, strict weight targets, online criticism, and long, exhausting hours because I’ve lived it myself and stood beside those who are still living it.
That lived experience is what led me to create Minds in Racing a dedicated space for genuine mental health support across the industry, from those in the spotlight to the many who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
Alongside my experience in racing, I’ve undergone extensive training and am a fully qualified counsellor, with specialist expertise in anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, and trauma.
This professional training, combined with my personal journey, has given me a deep sense of purpose: to give back to the sport and support the individuals within it.
Whether it’s offering a listening ear, professional guidance, or simply creating spaces where people feel heard, understood, and valued my aim is simple: to make a real difference in the industry we all live, breathe, and love.
